Quality
Burg takes great pride in the quality translations that we provide. Our standard operating procedures are dictated by the ISO 9001:2008 quality guidelines. In addition, we espouse the EN 15038:2006 for more specific aspects of the translations industry. Our certifications are issued and audited annually by TÜV Rheinland.
These quality systems or standard operating procedures mean that we follow a uniform, documented procedure for each translation project. Burg’s ISO certifications require management and employees to constantly introspect and improve. At Burg we continually evaluate our linguists, response time to clients, and overall customer satisfaction. We undergo annual external audits with TÜV Rheinland in addition to annual internal audits by a hired Specialist.
ISO 9001:2008
Each translation project uses the skills of at least one translator and then a separate editor. Our linguists are selected based on experience, area of expertise, level of education, native language fluency, demonstrated quality, care fore details and other specifications.
Another criterion of the ISO 9001:2008 standard is measuring our process. As such, Burg prides itself in our response time, which aids customer satisfaction.
EN 15038:2006
The EN 15038:2006 is a pan-European quality standard specific for the translation and localization industry that was developed by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). Burg was one of the first US-based translation companies to achieve this standard.
This certification means that you can depend on us to follow audited procedures that help ensure the quality of your translation projects. Twenty-nine European countries have selected the EN 15038 as their national standard for choosing language service providers. Burg offers you this same high quality service.
