Bensenville, Illinois (August 25, 2022) – Today, Chicago-based BURG Translations, Inc. announced that effective August 1, 2022, Angelo Passalacqua ended his term as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Brenda S. Stoltz, Chief Operations Officer (COO) assumed the role of CEO.

Passalacqua relinquishes all operational involvement from BURG to launch Zin Global, a technology start-up focused on providing a much needed AI-driven, end-to-end CRM for the language services industry.

Stoltz will be the fifth CEO and the first woman to lead the company since it was founded in 1936 by Freda Burg. Since joining the company in the role of COO in August 2019, Stoltz has overseen BURG’s global operations.

“Brenda is a once in a generation talent and the right leader for BURG at this important time in our history,” said Angelo. “Her broad but deep background and business technology expertise gives her a keen understanding of the major changes taking place in our industry and how to capitalize on them. Brenda uniquely understands our challenges, and our customers’ challenges, having worked in many different organizational and leadership roles during her 30-year career. Brenda led BURG as our COO during one of the most challenging periods in our history, hitting revenue targets and dramatically improving account management, IT, and info security, all while addressing unprecedented changes. Most importantly, Brenda is a principled leader who cares deeply about our team and clients. I’m excited about what’s ahead with Zin Global, but I can leave 100% confident that Brenda will lead BURG into an even more prosperous future.”

“Brenda’s contributions have been invaluable, not only to the growth of the business, but in building a strong client focused account management team,” states Lodovico Passalacqua, Co-Owner and President. “Brenda’s strategic focus, expertise, and exemplary leadership is taking BURG to the next level. I look forward to working with Brenda to reach new levels of success as we continue this exciting phase of our growth.”

“I am honored and proud to be appointed the next CEO of BURG Translations and excited about what the future holds for the company,” said Stoltz. “I’m grateful to Angelo for his support and mentorship and to Lodo and the entire management team for their continued support and confidence in my leadership.”

Stoltz joined BURG after over 25 years working in leadership roles in product strategy, operations, sales, and marketing in leading enterprise companies and start-ups.
