The BURG Certification Program includes separate exams for translators and interpreters designed to evaluate the candidate’s command of language, knowledge, and skills.
BURG Certificate validates Translator’s and Interpreter’s ability to handle content specific to various use cases across a number of different regulated industries, including but not limited to healthcare, life sciences, legal or finance
The exams are conducted online and consist of two parts:
- Multiple Choice Question Test
- Written assessment (Translators only) or Interpretation assessment (Interpreters only)
Multi-Choice Question Test
The test is designed separately for each learning path – translators and interpreters. It contains 60 questions and lasts 120 minutes, conducted through a secure online proctoring platform.
Written Assessment for Translators
The Written Assessment of Translators consists of three passages of texts from regulated industries. Candidates choose two to translate for which they have 90 minutes.
Interpretation Assessment for Interpreters
The Interpretation Assessment consists of 3 recordings that require 10-15 minutes of interpretation. Candidates choose 2 out of 3 and are allowed time to prepare. The assessment lasts 90 minutes in total.
