BURG Translations’ Recertification Audit Results for the ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 17100:2015

Chicago, IL, October 7, 2019: Chicago-based BURG Translations, Inc. – an international company specializing in technical translation services – announces that it has passed an independent, on-site recertification audit for ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 17100:2015.

The external audit was conducted by TÜV Rheinland, a global company providing technical services, certifications and audits. The purpose of this on-site recertification audit was to confirm the competency and capability of BURG Translations to perform the defined language services under the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17100:2015.

The ISO 9001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations that achieve this standard have proven the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer statutory and regulatory requirements and other characteristics of world-class organizations’ operations across their technology, products, processes and services. BURG Translations initially was granted its standards certification in 2009.

Summary:

  • There were no significant issues apparent during this surveillance/transition audit that would impact the audit program.
  • There were no nonconformances established during this surveillance/transition audit.
  • There were no issues observed regarding the assessment of the ISO 17100 requirements.
  • There were no opportunities for improvement identified during the audit.

  • A review of the prior audit cycle, including all customer and audit findings, did not result in any concerns that may affect this recertification audit.

The status of the audit is PASS. Registration to ISO 9001:2015 and continued conformance to ISO 17100:2015 is recommended.
